Traffic Impact Downtown BGKY Lights Up

Summary: Increased traffic is expected in Downtown Bowling Green on Friday, Dec. 6 for Downtown BGKY Lights Up. Lighting ceremonies take place at varied locations and times with food trucks and children's activities happening from 5 to 8 pm. BG Trolley will provide a loop downtown during this time.

Traffic Impact Alert WKU Homecoming Parade & Big Red's Roar in Downtown BG

Summary: The WKU Homecoming Parade and Big Red's Roar will be on Friday night, Nov. 15 in Downtown Bowling Green. Parking will be impacted on Fountain Square as early as 2:00 p.m. to prepare for the pre-parade festivities that start at 4:00 p.m. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. from Cherry Hall.

Traffic Impact for Halloween, Pumpkin Alley

Summary: Traffic impacts are expected during trick-or-treating on Thursday, Oct. 31 for Pumpkin Alley in the Briarwood neighborhood and in other locations with seasonal displays. Drivers should use caution driving in neighborhoods at all times, but especially between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Leaf pickup to begin soon

Summary: The city is divided into 10 work zones, with each zone scheduled for two consecutive days of leaf pickup. Crews will not begin work in a zone before its scheduled date. If a zone is finished ahead of schedule, crews will backtrack to unfinished areas, starting with the oldest location.
