The annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival will take place in Downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky on Saturday, October 19 starting at 11 am! This family-friendly fall event will have activities for ALL AGES and ABILITIES.

You're invited to join us for the annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 19 from 11am to 4 pm! Find FREE admission to kids' activities, live music, craft vendors, local food trucks, and more at SoKY Marketplace, Stadium Park Plaza, Circus Square and Fountain Square - all in Fountain Row. Check out the Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival Map here.

This is Downtown BGKY's kickoff to the Fall season with family events like hay forts and inflatables, the BG Trolley and Lil Toot, and the infamous pumpkin drops every hour on the hour at Circus Square. Many City and County departments will be on hand with displays and activities, including StormwaterBGPD and BGFD, as well as many community organizations contributing to the fun as well!

Catch BG and Warren County Parks & Rec friends with free inflatables and games at Circus Square Park all day. Up for some spine-tingling fun?  Enjoy a haunted house hosted by Parker Bennett & Moxley Community Centers and wind through some spooky corners in the basement of The Historic Venue on 7th. It will be open from 3-6 pm.

Catch BG Fall Fiesta for a Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) flair at Fountain Square with help from our Latino community. Don't miss Croptoberfest at SOKY Marketplace, with your favorite farmer market favorites, art, local brews and live music until 6 pm

Come downtown as early as 10 am to enjoy Arts of Southern KY's Free Community Day, ongoing at SKYPAC until 2 pm, where you can enjoy free popcorn, pumpkin painting, photo booths, backstage tours and so much more, including great performances by Golden Chorale, BG OnStage, Ramsey Theatre Company and Orchestra KY.

We're making room near Circus Square and Fountain Square for lots of pedestrians and fun vendors, so outside Circus Square, College Street and 7th Avenue will both be closed, while Park Row and E. Main Avenue adjacent to Fountain Square will be closed as well.

More than 300 total vendors and exhibitors will be located at both parks, on the "Hot Rod Alley" at Stadium Park Plaza and of course at the SOKY Marketplace Pavilion, along the Green, and at these new expanded locations: The Fringe on College Street beside the parking garage, the Chamber of Commerce parking lot, and the Pushin Building and City of BG parking lots located along Spring Alley between State and College Street.

The BG Trolley will offer free hop on, hop off service at five stops around downtown. The stops are:
  • On State Street by the clock, near the entrance to Morris Alley and the intersection with Park Row

  • On College Street near Spencer's, across from Fountain Square Park

  • On 7th Avenue, at the mid-block crossing between Stadium Park Plaza/BG Hot Rods and SOKY Marketplace

  • On College Street at the Fringe, just around the corner from 7th Avenue and near Circus Square

  • On State Street near 7th Avenue at Circus Square Park, across from Hickory & Oak

You can enjoy an easy stroll down our Candy Corn Lane, an easy and walkable Heritage Trail connecting Fountain Square and Circus Square, or if you're up for something a little more nature-oriented, save some time for a Downtown Tree Walk celebrating Tree Week at 1:30 p.m. from the BikeWalk BG tent at Circus Square Park .

Sky Arts Film Festival is ongoing Harvest Festival weekend at the Capitol, and Bowling Green Rock Band Academy will have a full day of locally grown talent at their Fall Showcase, taking place at the legendary Tidball's, just one block off of Fountain Square. Find $10 tickets on Eventbrite.

Cap off the evening with a free movie at Community Education's 8th Annual Blockbusters at the Ballpark, where gates will open at 6 pm for a free showing of "Twister" at 7 pm.  Or enjoy the music of Harry Potter and More at SKYPAC at 7:30, when Orchestra Kentucky will present "Magical Music: Harry Potter & More" Get your tickets soon!
