Traffic and parking impacts are expected in downtown Bowling Green for the annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival and associated events on Saturday, October 19.
Traffic and parking impacts are expected in downtown Bowling Green for the annual Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival and associated events on Saturday, October 19. Portions of streets adjacent to Fountain Square and Circus Square Parks will be closed from 8 am to 5 pm to allow for set-up and tear-down for events that will go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Heavy pedestrian usage is expected in these areas and along the Heritage Trail between the parks, SOKY Marketplace Pavilion, SKYPAC, Stadium Park Plaza, The Fringe, and as far as Tidball's.
Traffic and parking impacts are as follows:
At Circus Square:
7th Avenue between College and State Streets: All lanes closed, no parking allowed.
College Street between 6th & 7th Avenue: All lanes closed and parking removed.
State Street between 6th & 7th: One lane closed and parking removed
Both public parking lots at Circus Square Park will be utilized by Harvest Festival activities/vendors.
At Fountain Square:
College Street between Park Row & E. Main: One lane closed and parking removed on Fountain Square Park side
State Street between Park Row & Main: One lane closed and parking removed on Fountain Square Park side
Park Row: Lanes and parking closed
E. Main between College & State Street: Lanes and parking removed.
City Parking Lot on State between 8th Avenue & Spring Alley:
This parking lot will be closed and reserved for Downtown BGKY Harvest Festival vendors, along with the privately-owned parking lot adjacent to it.
Near SOKY Marketplace Pavilion
Center St Between 6th & 7th: On street parking removed.
Free parking is available in the downtown parking garage and various public parking lots available to the public in the evenings and on weekends. The Justice Center and Paxton lots are both located within two blocks of Harvest Festival activities, and the Bowling Green Trolley will provide free hop on-hop off trolley service during the Festival.
