BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Your favorite Downtown BGKY family-friendly holiday event returns Friday, December 6. The afternoon begins at 1 p.m. with SOKY Ice Rink at SoKY Marketplace open until 9 pm. Warren County Courthouse and the Chamber of Commerce will both have holiday open house events from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
Stop by City Hall from 3:00-5:30 p.m. with "Christmas on College Street," where you'll find Christmas cookies from around the world, a new 2024 season City ornament, calendar, and more. Tours of the building will be offered during this time as well.
Warren County will light up the Courthouse at 429 E. 10th Ave with a ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
Mistletoe Market runs at the Venue on 7th (former Taylor's Chapel) next to Soky Marketplace. Friday 5pm to 8pm. Local crafters and artists will be set up and ready for all of your Holiday shopping.
Our friends at the Warren County Public Library are planning a special Grinch event at the Capitol from 4-6 p.m. and tickets are still available for the "Annie, Jr" show by BG Onstage https://www.theskypac.com/event/bg-onstage-presents-annie-jr/
Check out Santa's Village featuring food trucks/vendors and free children's activities at Circus Square Park also from 5-8 p.m. Food trucks will be on both 7th Avenue and College Street, so be sure to check them all out! Santa's Village features caroling, crafts, cookie decorating, a special light show at 7:15 p.m., and visits with Santa himself, who is expected to arrive to Circus Square around 6:15 p.m. **In case of rain, Santa will move to the SOKY Marketplace Pavilion/SOKY Ice Rink.
Circus Square Park and the SKYPAC Community Christmas Tree will light up at 5:30 p.m., followed shortly by Fountain Square Park at 6 p.m. The “light up” times are staggered so families can choose to attend both locations, which are connected by Candy Cane Lane (Heritage Trail and Capitol Alley).
Back for the third year: a window decorating contest for downtown businesses with public voting! Follow @DowntownBGKY on social media for details on more events by our downtown merchants, including the Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl.
