This week, the City of Bowling Green’s Animal Protection Division and Warren County Sheriff’s Office will be showing appreciation for our Animal Control Officers and highlighting their essential role in public safety and animal welfare.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - As part of National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, the City of Bowling Green’s Animal Protection Division and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office are proud to recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of their dedicated animal control officers.

From April 15 to April 19, they will celebrate the bravery, compassion and unwavering commitment of these frontline heroes who work tirelessly to protect the welfare of both animals and our community.

Throughout the week, the City of Bowling Green’s Animal Protection Division and Warren County Sheriff’s Office will be showing appreciation for our ACOs and highlighting their essential role in safeguarding public safety and animal welfare.

“We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and sacrifice of our city’s animal control officers, who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of both animals and residents in our community," said Brad Schargorodski, Division Manager of the City’s Animal Protection Division. "This week, we salute their bravery, compassion and unwavering commitment to public service."

The Bowling Green Animal Protection Division and Warren County Sheriff’s Office invite members of the community to join us in celebrating Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, and showing appreciation for the hardworking men and women who protect and serve our community's animals.

“Warren County is so fortunate to have such caring and hardworking animal control officers. Their commitment to ensuring animal welfare is unwavering, and their community-based approach to problem solving is second-to-none.” said Captain Curtis Hargett, WCSO Patrol Commander. “WCSO Animal Control Officers Gene Shy and Lisa Henderson are exemplary role models and public servants. We especially thank them for their many contributions this week.”
