BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - As floodwaters recede and residents begin the clean-up process, here’s what you need to know about debris pick-up. As of April 8, a federal disaster has not yet been declared. This means homeowners are responsible for removing construction debris.
Within city limits, Scott Waste will continue to pick up regular household waste containers. However, debris piles left at the edge of properties will not be collected.
Licensed contractors hired to remove damaged materials are required to haul the debris away. Homeowners who choose to handle this themselves must transport the debris to a legal dump site or hire a dumpster service to place the debris for removal. Only the companies listed below are authorized to provide this service:
Scott Waste Services – 270-783-4016 Blue Moon Sanitation – 270-843-2224 Green River Waste – 270-999-5458 Republic Services – 270-781-0782 Taylor Sanitation – 270-793-2437 Waste Management – 502-931-2616 BG Dumpster – 270-586-3978 Shelby Recycling – 270-846-0689 TPM – 270-781-4945
