Trash collection is now automated, meaning solid waste collectors will use an automated arm from the trash truck to pick up your trash bins. All trash must be in the bin and not piled on top of it or around it. Trash that is not inside the Scott Waste bin will not be picked up.

Scott Waste does still pick up one bulky item per week.

The night before your trash collection day, place the bin, within 18 inches of the curb. Place the bin 3 feet away from any obstructions on either side. The metal bar must be facing the street for the automatic arm to pick it up. The bin should be placed on level ground and away from tree branches or anything else that could be an obstacle for the automatic arm.

Many residents in the city limits have alley pick up. For questions on alley pick up, call Scott Waste.
