Fairview Cemetery will close temporarily Friday, Aug. 10

Summary: A burial service is scheduled in the back portion of Cemetery #2 with an expected attendance of over 500 visitors. Arrangements have been made for only one entrance, with parking for this burial to extend from the back portion of the cemetery to the middle sections.

Reception for new U.S. Citizens

City donates recovered Southern Queen Hotel’s historic Shake Rag items to WKU Special Collections Library

Summary: The City donated an extensive collection of historic Shake Rag artifacts from the Southern Queen Hotel to the Western Kentucky University Special Collections Library last week. Almost 800 items were recovered last summer during the process of stabilizing the property to save it for restoration.
International students visit City Hall
