Citizen Information and Assistance
The Citizen Information & Assistance office functions as a direct link between the citizens of Bowling Green and the various City departments. Requests for services are received from citizens and forwarded to the appropriate departments. This office also handles requests for general information about City services.
Common Requests Include:
- Code Enforcement
- Junk Vehicles on Private Property (Not on Street)
- Overgrown Properties
- Trash on Property
- Substandard Structure
- Service Request
- Drainage Cleaning or Inspection
- City Street Maintenance (Paving, Potholes, Sinkholes, or Cave-In)
- Traffic Control (Sign Installation or Replacement)
- Visibility Obstruction
- Graffiti
- Special Events
- Parade
- Temporary Street Closure (for pedestrians only)
- Block Party
- Vigil or Community Event on Public Property

Annual Events Coordinated or Supported by Citizen Information & Assistance
- #BGGovToGo: This is a neighborhood outreach initiative to bring City government into the neighborhoods and other special events around Bowling Green. Request a service, learn about job opportunities, and find out all the ways you can connect to City government through technology and good old-fashioned neighborly interaction. - Historic Downtown Lights Up!: This event is hosted by downtown merchants and features the illumination of Fountain Square Park after weeks of preparations by Bowling Green Parks staff. The event includes musical performances, carriage rides, downtown shopping and a special appearance by Santa Claus.
- Harvest Festival: Taking place in October in downtown Bowling Green around Circus Square Park and SOKY Marketplace hosted by several local agencies. This event includes a pumpkin patch, games, music, food, and many other attractions.
