Adaptive Sleds - Spotlight on Bowling Green
Dec 22, 2023
In the giving spirit of Christmas, this Spotlight on Bowling Green highlights the mission of the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Special Populations Division. Adaptive sleds available at SOKY Ice Rink allow all patrons to enjoy amenities that provide an inclusive, family-friendly environment. The Bemiss family, Daniel, Allison, Elijah, and Jonah, are shining examples of why having the sleds brings brothers Elijah and Jonah even closer. The adaptive sleds were an idea initiated in 2020 with the purchase of two sleds through grant funding. Four sleds are now available to use at the SOKY Ice Rink in Bowling Green, KY. These sleds would not be possible without the continued partnership with BGPR, Warren County Parks and Recreation, and SOKY Marketplace.
