Code Description:
Other than naturally-occurring stormwater, no person shall discharge or cause to be discharged into the MS4, or any conveyance, any materials, including but not limited to pollutants or hazardous materials or waters containing any pollutants or hazardous materials that cause or contribute to a violation of applicable water quality standards. Allowable discharges that create or have the potential to create unsafe conditions on city streets or other public rights-of-way are prohibited. The commencement, conduct or continuance of any illegal discharge to the MS4 or any conveyance is prohibited. Illicit Discharge - Waste Water - Sewer Discharging at cleanout. Located near entrance of the Dollar General Store, it was actively running onto 31WBypass on 02/09. Inspector Howell spoke w/ Manager on Duty, Jen. A regional maintenance manager or regional store manager contact was requested but not provided. Inspector explained that notice had been made and fines could be issued in the amount of $1,000 if there wasn't movement to remediate. Upon return for follow up inspection on 02/13/2024, Jen said she had attempted to reach her regional manager without success. Again, inspector explained noticed had been made and fines could begin to be incurred. No repairs had been started when re-inspected on 02/15/2024.
