Special Events Planning Wizard
Event Planning is a broad topic. Events can range from weddings, to block parties, to monthly staff meetings, to festivals and parades. Whatever event you are asked to plan, this guide is designed to provide some helpful tips to make your event a success.
In the context of permitting, Special Events are defined as any gathering of 100 or more people on public property. Events of this scale may require communication with many city departments and agencies, from Police to Public Works.
Note that the guidelines for Special Events do not apply to funeral processions, students under the supervision of school authorities, or government agencies.
