2010 SNAP GRANT PROGRAM INFORMATION NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

BOWLING GREEN, KY - The City of Bowling Green Neighborhood Action Office announces the release of program guideline information for the 2010 cycle of its popular mini-grant program for neighborhoods. The Select Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP) grant application is now posted online on the City's website. Deadline for submission of all applications is September 1.

Since the program began in 1999, SNAP has invested more than $565,000 to strengthen neighborhood organizations and implement neighbor-driven projects to improve the quality of life in neighborhoods across Bowling Green. For the new fiscal year set to begin July 1, the Board of Commissioners and City Manager have again affirmed their commitment to investing in neighborhoods by budgeting $25,000 for SNAP, believing it to be a worthwhile and impactful use of time and resources.

For program guidelines and eligibility requirements, please visit the City's website and check the 'Neighborhoods' page located online at: www.bgky.org or contact the Neighborhood Action Office at 393-3674.
