Professional Standards
The Professional Standards Division is commanded by Major Quentin Hughes and is staffed with a training Captain and two training Sergeants.
The assigned areas of responsibility are as follows:
- Policy Compliance
- OSHA/Safety Compliance
- Departmental Training
- Patrol Allocation Study
- Field Training Program
The Bowling Green Police Department places an emphasis on training with the goal of assuring that our officers are of the highest quality and ability. The department must meet standards set by Kentucky Revised Statute 95.955, Kentucky Chief's of Police Accreditation Standards Chapter 14, and the Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT), as well as local policy.
