Relay For Life
2005-10 members; raised around $1,200 in three weeks.
2006-15 members; raised $4,882.25
Activities included Yard Sale, Hot Dog Lunch, Jail and Bail at Relay, Raffles and Casual for the Cure.
2006-Last Year we raised $250 for a 10 week period sponsoring “Casual for the Cure”. The concept was to pay to wear your casual clothes-$2 for Jean, $3 for Jeans and Non-Uniform Shirt.
At the 2006 Relay, Dr. Seuss Theme “Help the Cops of Dr. Seuss Stop Cancer from Running Loose”. At the Relay, activities included a Jail and Bail where participants were jailed $1 per minute for certain offenses and mug shots were taken and sold for $2.
2007-We raised around $7,000 in 2007. We ran “Casual for the Cure” for a 32-week period (October 2006-May 2007). On October 4th, we participated in a Fundraiser with IGA of Smiths Grove where we received a percentage of Breast Cancer Ribbon Sales. We also had a Poker Run, Hot Dog Day, Holiday Raffles, Yard Sale and a Jail and Bail at the Relay.
