The Sloan Convention Center is located two miles north of the I-65 exit 22 interchange, at 1021 Wilkinson Trace, Bowling Green, KY 42103.

The Sloan Convention Center opened in 1995. The 60,000 square foot facility has 35,500 square feet of meeting and pre-convention exhibit space. The 19,500 sf grand ballroom has a reception capacity of 1,500 and can be divided into four smaller ballrooms. There are also six breakout rooms ranging from 350 to 2,600 square feet. The convention center connects to the adjacent Holiday Inn University Plaza hotel . The six story atrium hotel has 218 rooms, including several suites. The hotel has three salons totalling 4,000 sf.

The hotel/convention center is adjacent to the city owned and operated 18 hole CrossWinds Golf Course, and is in the Hartland Planned Development.

The Sloan Convention Center is named for Patsy T. Sloan, mayor of the City of Bowling Green from 1988 to 1991. Sloan was instrumental in planning the Hartland Development, including the convention center, golf course, and hotel.
The convention center is owned by the City of Bowling Green. General financial administration and management oversight is provided by the Citizen Information & Assistance Director. Center management is contracted with John Q. Hammons, Hotels Management LLC, operator of the Holiday Inn University Plaza Hotel.
