Summary: The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Bowling Green by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR)

Summary: Every two years, the City of Bowling Green takes the time to participate in the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) and National Research Center (NRC) National Citizen Survey (NCS). This survey is a low-cost citizen survey service for local governments.

Summary: BGPR Fitness' Facility will have different hours than normal during the Easter holiday. On Good Friday (March 30) the facility will be open from 6:00 am-6:00 pm, on Saturday (March 31) from 9:00 am-5:00 pm, and CLOSED on Easter (April 1).

Summary: Bowling Green Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for the 2018 Foot Golf Doubles Cup. The Doubles Cup will be held on April 29, 2018 beginning at 2:00 pm at The Golf Course at RiverView. The fee will be $30 per team.

Summary: Bowling Green Parks and Recreation’s Covington Woods Park will be receiving a new playground in April 2018. In preparation, we will close the Covington Woods playground beginning on Tuesday, March 27th and look forward to the arrival and construction of the new playground very soon.

Summary: Community Garden plots will be available for rental beginning tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, 225 E. Third Ave. Garden plots are at Kereiakes Park. Confirmation of address must be provided at the time of rental (driver's license, utility bill, etc.)

Summary: The cemetery staff will be conducting their Annual Spring Cleanup beginning March 1. The cleanup will include decorations, flowers, statuary, plaques, etc. that are on the ground; this includes items that will get in the way of mowers.
