Bowling Green Public Works will show plans for the Shive Lane Corridor Improvement Project on Thursday, Oct 18 at Real Life Church, located in the Greenwood Shopping Center at 2710 Scottsville Road.  The public is invited to drop by any time between 4:30 and 7:00 p.m.

This project involves widening Shive Lane between Scottsville Road and Ken Bale Boulevard to a three lane section as well as installing a right turn lane at Scottsville Road. Other improvements will include new curb, gutter, and storm sewer. At the same time, the City plans to design and construct a single lane roundabout at the intersection of Ken Bale Boulevard to reduce the morning and afternoon peak time delays that motorists currently experience on Shive Lane. Construction is estimated to start in Summer 2019.

Project plans will be on display during the open house, and staff will be available to answer questions.  Project updates will also be available online under the heading "Shive Lane Corridor Improvements" at: http://www.bgky.org/publicworks/planning-design/construction

For more information about the project, please contact Assistant City Engineer Kyle Hunt at kyle.hunt@bgky.org or 270-393-3097
