The City of Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department will host a Ribbon Cutting for the upgrades to Lampkin Park on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 9 a.m.  Lampkin Park is located at 938 Morgantown Road.

During the 2018 summer, all of the playground equipment at Lampkin Park has been upgraded and a new Zip Line has been added to give kids a special thrill when playing at the park. In addition to the great new playground and zip line, a splash pad was also added. This new feature hosts 27 spray nozzles which will shoot water in random intervals and patterns to cool you off on even the hottest of days! The splash pad will be user controlled with a foot actuator and there will be a rinse off shower by the pad, as well as four benches and four picnic tables.

Lampkin Park sits on over 80 acres of well-manicured greens and ensures something for everyone. This park has two tennis courts, one basketball court, baseball fields, a volleyball court, multiple large shelters and one futsol court. One of our shelters is large enough to accommodate 144 people, and each shelter has a grill, lights, electrical outlets, and water access.

Please come out and join us in cutting the ribbon for the great new park!
